The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery reports that "38 percent of the breast implant surgeries performed in the U.S. are performed in Western states such as California, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Arkansas, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii." Source: ASAPS.
"Our West coast culture is so accepting of the desire to change the body through plastic surgery," a San Jose plastic surgeon said.
The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery conducted a study that concluded that 51% of all Americans approve of cosmetic surgery. The study also found that 67% of people would not be embarrassed for others to know that they had cosmetic surgery done.
